KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities for Karachi and parts of Sindh on Friday evening/night.

As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave prevails over Balochistan which is likely to approach western parts of the country.

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during the next two days.

However, partly cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Qamber Shahdad Kot, Jamshoro, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Karachi, Naushahro Feroze and surroundings on Friday evening/night.

Dense fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur and Padidan during morning and night hours.

In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 14-16 C on Sunday.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature will likely remain between 09-11 C on Saturday and 10-12 C on Sunday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours.

However, Jacobabad and Khairpur received light rain.

Fog prevailed in upper districts which disturbed normal vehicular movement on inter and intra city roads from night to early morning.

Sukkur remained the coldest places in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 05 C.

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 85 per cent.

In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 13 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 67 per cent.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 09 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 81 per cent.
