New Delhi: Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh played unbeaten knocks of 33 and 46 respectively but it was not enough to take them through as Sunrisers Hyderabad survived the late blitz to beat Punjab Kings by 2 runs in a last-over thriller. Needing 29 to win off the last 6 balls, Punjab displayed tremendous courage to score 26 runs but just fell short by a tiny margin to help SRH secure their third win of the season.

Batting first, Sunrisers scored 182/ 9 in 20 overs with Nitish Reddy top-scoring for the side with 64 runs and also taking a wicket in the second innings. Travis Head went early for 21 while Abdul Samad played a good cameo of 25 runs off just 12 deliveries. Arshdeep Singh was the hero for PBKS as he picked four wickets. Meanwhile, Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza scored 29 runs and 28 respectively for the side and Jitesh Sharma played a knock of 19 as PBKS lost wickets at regular intervals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked 2 wickets while rest of the bowlers clinched a wicket apiece.

After the culmination of the 23rd match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, there is no change in the Orange Cap holder list. The list is led by RCB star Virat Kohli with 316 runs while Sai Sudharsan and Heinrich Klaasen maintain their positions on the second and third places. Riyan Parag is fourth while Shubman Gill is placed on the fifth spot.

There is a new entrant in the Purple Cap holder list after the SRH vs PBKS match. Punjab bowler Arshdeep Singh, who claimed four wickets in the game, has risen to the third spot with 8 wickets. Mustafizur Rahman is placed at the top with 9 scalps while Yuzvendra Chahal is on the second position with 8 wickets.
