Iran and the investment in Daesh’s survival

The geographical area occupied by the Daesh organisation is on the verge of diminishing, according to Pentagon assertions, but the organisation itself will not disappear.

The US Secretary of State concluded, before his counterparts from 75 countries participating in the “international coalition”, that the war on Daesh is not yet over. This is the same conclusion reached regarding the war on Al-Qaeda.

After being pursued for many years in the caves of Tora Bora and across Afghanistan, the organisation is emerging in several areas, including Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Mali, Niger and elsewhere. The only haven its leaders have found is in Iran.

Since Daesh was born from the womb of Al-Qaeda, it has exceeded the capabilities of its origin in several areas, especially in external recruitment as well as in the phase after its inevitable end. It has maintained weapons stores and sleeper cells, as well as searched for safe havens to house its members and to regroup.

Therefore, we hear warnings against future Daesh!

The major combat operations concluded that the “Caliphate State” had been eliminated and that the organisation has been dramatically weakened. It has also been said that while it believed it was defending the caliphate state, it brought about........
