Dunfermline 0 Dundee United 0 as Csaba Laszlo remains defiant over Championship title fight

Csaba Laszlo insists United’s title hunt is not yet finished and has urged his side to hunt down leaders St Mirren.

The Terrors slipped eight points behind the Buddies after yesterday’s stalemate with Dunfermline.

They have won only one of their last four league games and were fortunate to take a point from the Pars.

But Dundee United gaffer Laszlo insists they can still close the gap, with his side having a game in hand, and overtake Saints for automatic promotion.

He said: “We need to hunt St Mirren. It’s not nice to be behind but the season is not finished. We have 15 games to go and we can close the gap. Why not?

“There is a lot of football to be played and I don’t think St Mirren will win every match. Every team will have ups and downs – and they have all still to come to Tannadice.”

The United gaffer admitted a clean-sheet was a vast improvement after shipping six goals last week at Falkirk.

He said: “I am not happy with the draw against Dunfermline but I am not unhappy either. They are a good team.

“They are in third place........
